Parents lose it after bags of penis-shaped jellies are sold to their kids
PARENTS IN NEW Zealand were none too pleased after they discovered that shops were selling bags of penis-shaped jellies to their little ones.
According to The New Zealand Herald, stores on the South Island were stocking the lewd candies and selling them to children.
Barrie Aburn, a father-of-three, made the discovery after his three young daughters purchased a bag of sweets and gave them to him as a birthday present. His wife then picked a sweet from the bag and found that it was in the shape of a penis.
Needless to say, she was appalled.
Awkward.
The sweets were imported from China and distributed to a number of stores in New Zealand. William van de Geest, the man who unintentionally imported the penis sweets, said that he was unaware that there were inappropriate sweets in the bag.
Hmm.
The offending sweets were then taken off the shelves and the manufacturers apologised, saying that the sweets weren’t offensive in Asia and the shape was actually a sign of health and fertility there.
Sure, okay.
